Someone asked on the evening whether Alex Brown was going to be signed this season. KN said that they had discussed this with AB but he had shown no inclination to take steps himself to sign or to approach Halifax with a view to him moving - there was no criticism of AB by the way! So while this was, or wasn't happening, they got on with making steps to sign Ulungia. It was a similar story with Jason Walton, that they had made initial contact with him, then heard nothing else from him. Rather than wait for him, they got on with the above mentioned signing. From the brief glimpses we had of him last season he seems to have pace to burn and pretty solid in defence. The way that it's set out in "Love Rugby League" makes it look as if Alex Brown is from the Batley Club.........possibly the source of the YP mistake. At least those with the influence seem to have taken positive steps to remedy our issues from the past two seasons. l just hope he can stay fit and his visa comes through!
