Prestwich disbanded just before the start of the 1996/97 season. I saw them beat Irlam Hornets 24-14 in the 1st round of the Valentine cup in 95/96 and they played at a pitch in Drinkwater park, Agecroft. Ive got 29 Prestwich home programmes from 1986 to 1996. Hope this information is useful to you mmp and please give my regards to Dave Kelly.

Hello mmp. You asked me on the Leigh Miners thread what the Langworthy team was that beat Miners in the 1991 Lancashire cup final? I don't know the team that actually played but the team printed in the programme was 1/ Bobby Chadwick, 2/ Jimmy Campbell, 3/ Steve Dickinson, 4/ John Schofield, 5/ Mark Jones, 6/ Paul Monks, 7/ Dave Povah, 8/ Colin Gordon, 9/ Steve Kemp, 10/ Timmy Wells, 11/ Andy Parks, 12. Darren Wood, 13/ Phil Costello. Subs chosen from Micky Beech, Leo Murphy, Martin McBurnie, Scott Dixon and Dave Pester. Phil Edge was injured and Malc Reddican was suspended. I don't know where John Sanders was - I will ask him when I see him in the pub this afternoon!
