There has been a great demand for sponsorship of the Dons ahead of the new campaign, in what is hoped to be a very successful season at the club under the tenure of head coach Gary Thornton. Sponsoring the Dons is an ideal opportunity for local, regional and national businesses to network, build up a client base and be introduced to the movers and shakers of the commercial world in South Yorkshire. As well as improving networking, sponsors can also enjoy the fantastic first class hospitality the Keepmoat Stadium offers on a matchday. Speaking about the news, chief executive Carl Hall said: “It is great to see so many different businesses and people supporting the Dons ahead of the new season. “We have had unprecedented demand for match sponsorship and to sell out three months before a ball has been kicked is a massive achievement for the club. “When Doncaster Rugby League became part of Club Doncaster, I totally believed the vision set for the Dons and it is great to now see the benefits of this really coming to fruition. “Hopefully this is the beginning of a very successful season for the club, there is a real buzz here at the moment and everyone is looking forward to the new campaign to get underway.” Commercial manager Andrew Whitham added: “Interest in rugby league continues to grow and sponsors are really keen to be associated with the Club Doncaster brand which has been built over a number of years. “We are really pleased with the start we have made commercially at the Dons this season and we now hope this can be replicated on the pitch.” The news of the commercial success comes just weeks after it was announced that over 25% of season tickets sold by the Dons for 2016 have been snapped up by new applicants as everyone hopes to see Doncaster reach the Championship.
