To be honest we could have played wigan yesterday and it would have still been a very similar game. The conditions nullified everyone and i doubt matty or jarrod could have influenced the game too much.

dont think theres any doubt that town need those two in the league games David but this was an exercise training fixture only and for what ive read in various papers and the l express and the pics online it was a sticky snow coated icy cold mud bath and the spark maybe not have changed it too much as the ball was virtually uncontrollable with fast hands ? those conditions can make most pro teams level out .

Oh totally agree with that wonky . Put nothing on that game at all , I applaud every player for turning out in those conditions . Just thinking that it's only a fortnight away and rapidly approaching , I hope these guys are ready for the real stuff , as they give you a chance of turning these sides over early doors when they are still to settle , and can give us that fast start . Hopefully VERLINDEN is on the horizon to . If our team is out then we can knock these sides off

I dont think the club are expecting much from latu in all honesty, the fact we have so many props would certainly point that way

Not expecting to much ? he's come half way round the world to play rugby , sorry marra I for one was expecting more than we are getting, if their not expecting to much they should of signed me , I've got a crocked leg but I wouldn't have had to come 12 thousand miles !!

i mean this season, we cant be expecting too much game time from him when we have 5 other specialist props plus the likes oc rooney and olstrum who are also looking to play there.

Nothing personal against the lad , but for the outlay that's gone into him we should be expecting an awful lot . Especially when we are strapped for cash and could use that to strengthen behind the scrum . No more excuses , it's got to happen soon or not at all

I don't get the big issue, what excuses are being made? Obviously if anyone had a crystal ball and could see the injuries he's had then he would never have been signed. BUT back in the real world nobody can look into the future, yes it's magnified because he's been brought half way round the world at a cost to the club but what could anybody have done differently?

He could easily have threw his cards in and disappeared back to sunnier climes like others have done, but he's sticking it out over here and IMO it shows that he is going to try and pay back the faith shown in him.

Had to smile on the Ozzey Gordon article in the paper, the first time he'd ever seen snow and then a day later he's playing in it. But he was OK once everything had gone numb! Poor lad needs to harden up a bit if he's going to be living over here.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

I have been one calling for time and patience with latu. However through no fault of his own hasnt been able to put a string of training/matches together over the past 18 months due to injury. Times running out for the lad. After injury it will give him best part of half a season to justify a new deal!?

On the basis of the squad number he has been given, doesnt look promising for the lad
