Why are you extreme right wingers so obsessed with the idea that to be socially progressive means doing without?

Why are you so obsessed in branding ST an extreme right winger? Is it because he's is voting 'out' and that disagrees with your viewpoint? Most of family are voting out and they have voted Labour and espoused left wing views their entire lives.

Why are you extreme right wingers so obsessed with the idea that to be socially progressive means doing without?

One reason why you lose so many arguments on this forum is because you insist on insulting people who you debate with.

Anyone who disagrees with your world view is an "extreme right winger", or you apply some other equally silly epithet.

It becomes quite tedious after a while.

If you cut out the personal insults you'll find you are taken far more seriously.

And that advice is true for all posters on this forum.

Firstly, I'm not a Tory - never voted Tory in my life

Secondly - you haven't answered my questions. Your all for banging the equality drum but would you be willing to have a lower quality of life and see your family go without so that someone in another poorer European country can have a better quality of life ?

The money has to come from somewhere, and that means coming from the taxpayers of the wealthier countries like Britain.

So go on the - Would you pay more in taxes and accept a lower quality of life so that another poor European country and their citizens gets a better quality of life ?

Only if you can truthfully answer yes to that will you actually be practicing what you preach about equality.

I have advocated for twenty years now that we should collect more taxes to support the nations heath and education and to help build such infrastructure in poorer nations abroad.

Imposing a few pence on the top earners, cutting out evasion and stopping loopholes in avoidance, and making those huge nationals actually pay that tax the are due instead of the morally defunct position they occupy at the the moment.

This should mean the impact on folks is limited.

But in answer to your question yes I would pay more taxes. My charitable contribution will not be discussed here.... maybe in private face to face....

Well my postal vote arrived today, so that's my vote cast. It's now too late to try and change my mind! :)

Even if you do answer yes, do you actually practice it now ? Do you forego your family holiday ever year, not buy the latest iphone or other gadget, or only buy your kids a birthday present of nominal value and instead give that money to a charity that helps the poor & disadvantaged around the world ?

If you do then I take my hat off to you sir, but if not then its completely hypocritical to criticize anyone else's views on equality if you don't practice what you preach

May I refer you to Weary's answer which I endorse

enlighten me, I rarely bother reading any of the drivel he writes any more

For someone like Weary with alleged socialist views that are supposed to engender fairness and equality his complete intolerance on this board of anyone who doesn't share his viewpoint pretty much render any of his responses worthless !

Because that's how he comes across.

The OECD are predicting much reduced growth if there's a Brexit, they also put down the current slow down to uncertainty about the referendum.  TBH the slowdown was palpable after the election, when it became clear that a referendum was inevitable.   Cameron has done this.  Whatever the outcome he has to go.  He's a weak, spineless leader.  Once it was obvious there wouldn't be a coalition last year and he wouldn't be able to hide behind the Lib/Dems any more he should have resigned and let Boris have a go.  Boris (having got what he wanted) would now be banging the drum for remain.  What a mess!

And when they found our shadows

Grouped around the TV sets

They ran down every lead

They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their lists

And then the alien anthropologists

Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason

For our sad demise

They logged the only explanation left

This species has amused itself to death

No tears to cry no feelings left

This species has amused itself to death

Thats true, I've heard members of the general public quoting both £350m and bananas.  It sticks and they know it.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Faisal Islam was very good, grilling Cameron on Sky, EU in or out.He is grilling Gove tomorrow.

It'll be interesting to see who gets the tougher questioning of the two.

You'd still brand it a right wing extremist if it didn't agree with you!

I don't like your views on some of these subjects. Really don't like them. But I wouldn't call you a right wing extremist. I know a few far left people with very similar views.

It's a real fallacy to think that someone strongly anti EU is also on the right hand side of centrist.

Watching Question Time now and really getting bored with the whole EU debate subject now. I think we're getting to the point that it's actually putting off people from voting. I wish I had a postal vote so I could get it over and done with and ignore the dross in the media.

I wish I had £5 for every lie and stretched truth so far in Question Time tonight on the EU. I think I'd be close to 4 figures already!

Several posts removed.

Please remember, this is a thread for discussing the EU referendum.

It is not a thread for goading or insulting people you disagree with.

Leave that to the politicians.

Thanks.

That's nonsense.

I don't brand people as extreme right or left wingers simply because they disagree with me, as you should know.

New performers announced for Brexit concert BPop Live.

Cheryl, Jay, Mike & Bobby, aka the group that can't call themselves Bucks Fizz any more for legal reasons. They owe their careers to the overwhelming support that they received from across Europe, of course.

And Gordon Hendricks. Yes, the Gordon Hendricks, Grand Champion Elvis impersonator! A man pretending to be a foreigner.

Guest speakers, Kate Hoey, Nigel Farage and Liam Fox.

All yours for 23 staunchly British pounds, folks.
