Sad to say it's true that dad suffered quite a severe stroke recently but he is receiving excellent care in hospital and is making good progress. From being initially paralysed on his right side and not being able to speak he is now able to walk a few steps and has recovered his speech. He is fully compos mentis and his CT scans have shown no lasting brain damage. He's going to be in WCH for a few more weeks then will need to go through a rehab process for a few months so it's debatable wether he'll grace DP again this season, but I'm sure he will be determined to get there if at all possible even if he has to sit in a wheelchair in the disabled viewing area !
