We certainly gave Barrow a shock, me too after last week ,to me the team had passion,aggression and showed more skill than I expected,,,nice one lads keep it up and not let it be a one off flash in the pan,,,,,,

Terrific performance after last week. Showed passion and desire, played for the shirt. Nice handling skills in places, and even a 40-20 thrown in for good luck.....

A massive improvement on a dry track at last, a great team performance but Austin Bell and Jake Normington outstanding.

And wasn't that ten times better than what was served up last week? Got on top early yesterday, and that set the tone for the rest of the game. And some individual performances worth mentioning this week too ... Mvududu and Barnett down the left, Brown at half-back and Normington and Bell in the pack.

 

All of which makes it very difficult to assess where we stand ahead of the league season kicking off. In theory I expected York and Barrow to provide similar challenges and quality of opposition, but as controlling and dominant as York were last week, we were the same against Barrow yesterday. The only difference was the weather ... so maybe we need to hope for a long, hot spring and summer!

 

A couple of nasty-looking injuries to some of the Barrow lads, hope everyone's OK today.

Great performance, was much needed after York. Looking forward to building on this at Rochdale.

 

Only dissapoitnment from Sunday is the low crowd, what happened to all the stayaways returning if we stopped dual reg with Leeds and had a 'Hunslet coach'?

A big well done to the real Hunslet Hawks a massive plus for the season ahead in view of the York defeat something to build on shame the stay away,s are not backing the new regime.

Hope we won't be Jekyll & Hyde this season. A big improvement from previous week.

Normington looked like a pro dropping down a division. Just shows there is good talent in the amateur game. Bell pretty good too, was he a regular for York last season?

Just hope we can keep the consistency going forward & get the punters in.
