***** WELCOME *****
... to our second tipping competition the new season.
.
At least we've now had some games played giving us chance to start gauging teams' form and potential.
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this season for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round
NB This round's first game is on THURSDAY

ROUND 2 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:
Which Round 2 game will produce the smallest margin of victory?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 2

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R2?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*AWAY Win Competition:
How many AWAY wins will there be in NRL R2?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:
R02%20NRL%202016_zpshmkkzc7y.jpg

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone.

Enjoy your Rugby League!

B) Cheers, Graham

Tipping Tigers this week to build on their winning streak this week FD!

Only one so far to go for Panthers. Is it that you feel that Dogs peaked last week and probably won't sustain that sort of form?

I see you and Irish Saint have gone with Eels at home. Cowboys will be tough to beat: they're in good form have a really settled GF winning side.

Dragons? (Bob, RLW - a slight Dragons fan - and FD), sure they showed some good signs in Melbourne, but Storm though stuttering still held them out when it counted. Can they really take on Cronulla at home and win?

St George/Cronulla I generally tip the away team. Also St George have had a week to work on their right side defensive faults. Storm won because Koro got 2 tries through bad defence, not great attack. He's a good winger but I could score tries too if nobody tackled me.

Tigers will be better this week simply by having Brooks back.

Parra will be better with Foran.

Panthers/Doggies? Dunno so pick home side.

Match Tipping:

Our 100% top scorer this week with 8/8 is Irish Saint

For future reference: Regulars will know this but for newcomers here's what we do in such situations:

When two or more tipsters share the top score we decide on a champion tipster for the week by looking at their predictions for the points total by all teams, and the nearest to the correct figure gets the title.

Points Total: There were 340 points scored in this round 11 points more than in R1. This week was again our winner here this time just 1 point away Farmduck remeber last week his prediction was exactly on the button!!!
The Away Win comp was jointly won this week by - Irish Saint  who correctly predicted there'd be just 1 measly away win.
Our Poll Comp was won jointly by Irish Saint, BobBruce and G Las D who all correctly tipped Raiders vs Roosters  as the game that would produce the smallest winning margin, on this occasion by just 1 point.

Animated awards will be presented to this week's winners as soon as I've been able to create them.
Our Round 3 tipping competition has already been posted.

Congratulations to our  top scorer this week IRISH SAINT

Well done too to runner up JimBronco who was in it to win it right up to the Monday game, but picked Sea Eagles to win.

Thanks to everyone who took part.
