The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Edited to add: I get no warnings if I use my wife's Android tablet. I've checked the security settings on the tablet and McAfee seems to be working, so I'm puzzled. FWIW, I just ignore the warnings and link to the site anyway. Hopefully, it will all be sorted in a few days.

I use McAfee and it gives a warning every time I come on to the site for the first time after going online.  I don't get further warnings, just so long as I stay online.

When you consider some of the sort of people who have been banned from here in recent times, it wouldn't be very surprising.

I wonder if the likes of Avast can see the IP addresses (or sole address) of all these complaints?

They can of course but they won't tell me! Maybe Webby would like to investigate. I'm sure they will help (they are not American

The site was out of action for a while mid/late afternoon today so I assumed summat was being done but unfortunately I'm still seeing the red/orange warning screen from the off.

Fingers crossed it's sorted soon.

Interesting.

When I type "To" in the address bar, a short list of suggested sites come up including the "General Rugby League and World Cup Forum" and "Any Other Business", as they're the two TRL sites I visit most often. But no matter which one I click on, I am redirected to the main board index.

That's never happened before, can I assume it's because of tinkering during attempts to repair the site?

This infuriating problem continues, despite our best efforts to resolve it, which are ongoing. In the meantime, I've posted a general message across the top of the site, so everyone knows that we know what's happening and what we're doing about it.

The TotalRL.com forums are currently the subject of an incorrect security warning which we are in the process of having removed, however this can take several days. In the meantime, it is perfectly safe to click past the security warning and visit the site. Click the 'details' option on the security warning page, then click 'visit this unsafe site'.

If you are using Chrome as your browser, you can turn off the warning by following the instructions in the following link

We hope to have this issue resolved as soon as possible but in the meantime we can assure you there is no danger in visiting or posting on the TotalRL.com forums once you navigate past the warning page.

Thank you for your patience.

I've been getting getting taken to a different page for months now, whenever I access the forum via Google (and it's a very dodgy looking page). Back button and reselecting has allowed me access.

It's now stopped and I get the same warning as above.

The sodding warnings have started again.

One thing, those who use NoScript add-on, please upgrade it to the latest version or any site that uses google fonts (like this quick reply box) will break.  (On Firefox, go into Add-Ons, then Extensions then Check for Updates)

They haven't actually stopped on my tablet (I'm running Firefox).  Are you all sure that the site is OK?

Yaaaay!

Warning page no longer appears for me and I'm using Google Chrome and haven't done anything to bypass any anti malware stuff, etc.

It looks like somebody's been at least partly successful so thanks very much.

The slightly annoying problem I had earlier when clicking on either the "General RL Forum" or "Any Other Business" in the drop down suggestion list from the address bar still exists though. I'm redirected to the Forums index instead of the individual forum I select. This may of course be something I've done inadvertently but I don't think it is.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Phew, glad that's over!

Not sure why it should take a week to be removed from a blacklist we should never have been placed on in the first place, though.  :rtfm:

Thank for all your patience. :)

Try clearing your web browser cache. It may be storing old data.

In fact, I'd recommend anyone who has visited the forum while the warning message has been displaying do the same, to get rid of any stored rubbish.

If you're not sure how to do that, do a quick Google search on 'clear browsing data' for whichever browser you're using and you'll find the instructions.

On the downside the moment it's cleared ex Exxile (Alfie Taylor) reappears. Coincidence?

Indeed; Anger Management Alfie disappeared about a week ago, just before the phishing warning appeared, and now he's back, just as it goes.
