REACTION: Not Good Enough- Welham

<p>Doncaster Rugby League centre Liam Welham spoke to the official website following the Dons exit from the Challenge Cup. </p>

<p>The Dons were defeated 48-6 on Friday evening as Joe Picket-O’Donnell was sent off in the first half.</p>

<p>An honest Welham said the performance by the team wasn’t good enough.</p>

<p>“The red card didn’t help but if I’m brutally honest I don’t think it would have changed the outcome.</p>

<p>“We didn’t turn up, we mentioned about taking Hunslet too lightly and our performance wasn’t worthy of where we want to be this season.</p>

<p>“It is a massive wake up call, we mentioned at the beginning of the season to a lot of the newcomers who have come in from different academies that it is not going to be easy, usually the guys in this division get tougher and harder to stop.</p>

<p>“The beauty of rugby league is that we always have next week to fix it, hopefully we can knuckle down in training, work hard and get back to our normal routine.</p>

<p>“We had a few key players not playing in their key positions, we were shy of a few numbers against Hunslet and that did have a knock on effect.</p>

<p>“The one silver lining is that it wasn’t a league game, we are upset though because we wanted to go as far as possible in the Challenge Cup.</p>
