Tiny Tim
I can see this thread going well off topic but I'll give it a go anyway...... I've always wanted a pet snake and after years of wearing down the better half she has agreed to let me get one for my birthday next month. I recently got to handle various snakes and was quite taken by the Royal Pythons. After a bit of research it seem these are considered good 'starter' snakes so this is the lead contender to be the new addition to our family. Does anyone on here keep snakes and have any tips, suggestions or guidance? (If only Chairman M was still around I am sure he would be straight in on a thread like this...) ckn
The only advice I can give is one I heard from a friend: hope you have very good friends otherwise you're not going on holiday again. There a reptile shop locally that does holiday boarding for snakes, lizards etc.
C H Calthrop
There a reptile shop locally that does holiday boarding for snakes, lizards etc. I had a colleague who kept a corn snake among other things including a freezer full of mice. He remodeled his living room to accommodate a wall of terrariums. He opened his car boot on day to reveal a still vaping, frozen solid 2ft long iguana named Zilla. It has died on the Friday and he was dropping it off at a taxidermist after work. He names his boat after the thing. I never accepted a lunchtime Melton Mowbray pork pie from him again. He became odd after living with reptiles.
