I think we are looking at around £5-6m for TV coverage compared with around £2m for 2013 from English broadcasters - so yes. You can add another £1-2m (A$3m) to that from the UK. The TV deal alone will more than cover the cost of staging the tournament.

The difference between 2008 and now is that the organisers are bouncing off the 2013 RLWC model. Also, Wayne Bennett, James Graham and Sam Burgess are as household names as you can get in Australian sport. You can market the whole of the England phase down under off the back of those guys.
