RL film

Recommended Posts

I have just finished writing my comedy/action film regarding two RU players playing RL in Serbia, i am looking for suggestions of music that could be good to use in action shots and Rugby sequences.

Any other ideas on who to pitch this film to and sources of potential funding are most welcome!

How about Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture,

The movement's in the piece greatly range from Adagio to Allegro, and the Capriccio parts can be interpreted for a great number of scenes.

I've always liked the idea of Manowar - Number 1 in an RL context

EDIT: Ensiferum - Blood Is The Price Of Glory (first verse and chorus)

If you need music for a segment where they're out drinking, check out Korpiklaani, they have a few drinking songs (Vodka, Tequila, Bring Us Pints Of Beer, Happy Little Boozer, Beer Beer)

Can't remember the name of the song, but there's a song by "Nicole", think it's "Run with the wind". It was used by the Bristol RLWC 2013 team for their promo video

EDIT: "Run Like The Wind" by NICOLE feat. Angelo Bruschini

Plenty of royalty free music around, which might save you a few potential headaches with copyright and clearing any songs used within the film.

Have you spoken to Creative England about possible funding?  I have come across them in my tourism work for the Church of England, but don't know much about them.  However, they do have a regional set-up (outside London), so there should be a local contact for you to get in touch with, and they may be able to offer advice about specialist funding sources (though I suspect not themselves offer grants)  Their website is www.creativeengland.co.uk.

If there are any replay moments in the film, you have to put it in slow-mo and use the Carpe Diem Sky music.

That's not a suggestion; those are just the rules.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
