Allora
Any news on the WCC? There seems to be little or no info on this series? Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

Scubby
Looking at ticket sales for Wigan and they don't seem to be pulling up any trees. I would guess at about 15-16k sold with 5 days to go looking at the interactive ticket map. Disappointing if true.

Dave T
Just had an email from tge rfl saying tickets are limited now and the 2 match tickets are sold out. I suspect that is bending tge truth somewhat as it seems to tie in with all tickets being returned to the clubs as per the rest of the email. Man of Kent
Got my tickets to both. Looking forward to it. Fancy Wigan to win because they play not unlike an NRL side and can grind it out. I worry for Wire tho.

Conclude what you like; there's plenty online about the WCC and I pay £1:50 for a specialist newspaper and have since 1994. It's well known league doesn't get the press it probably should, but the info is there if you want it.

Lowdesert
No doubt there'll be criticism of the attendance, no matter what. It'll be the one night of the year I'm willing Wigan on and I can see them doing well. Whether it's enough is another story.
Exiled Wiganer
Just got ours. We will have 20k plus there, which is par for this particular course (for us), plus Wire will get near to a full house. I think the game generally does pretty well on these events. As to the game, I simply cannot wait. These are magical nights. Looking back over 30 years, the Manly game was incredible, I loved watching us win at Anfield and the Brisbane win against all the odds was legendary. Plus, of course, Saints, Leeds and Bradford have all done this country proud. If all we do this year is win this game, we will have played our part for the game over here. If Wigan do win it will easily eclipse every one of those nights. Such is the size of the task based on the rosters.

If it sells out there'll probably someone who'll criticize the RFL for it's lack of vision in not taking the game to Newlands in Cape Town as part of an expansion programme! Still got my programme from the Manly game, that was some night.
absentee thoughtlord
Despite having bought my tickets for the Warrington match ages ago, I had a look at their online ticketing service and found that there aren't many seats left. The HJ will be close to capacity at the very least.

I expect 12-13k which would be broadly in line with last time. An issue I have with the build up to these games (and possibly the game overall) is that the promotion doesn't appear to have screamed out the number of superstars that will be on show. I watch more NRL than ever, but I'm not sure who I am meant to be getting excited about watching at the weekend - we do appear to be very poor on pushing our players as stars. manning
Should have been a double header in Coventry. Imagine 12 or 13,000 there, waving little flags and sitting largely in silence? The Aussies wouldn't know what had hit them. We could take it round the country. Coventry one year, Peterborough the next, perhaps even Middlesbrough? Expansion is where it's at
