A brilliantly talented man who had some faiirly well documented issues in his personal life. 

He stillhasn't been laid to rest.

I know nothing of the process coroners follow, but would have assumed any medical tests to establish cause of death could have been concluded fairly quickly.

Why would there be any reason to have not released his body?

If there was any suggestion of his death being 'suspicious', surely it could be followed up without his body being kept in cold storage.

Must be he'll for those close to him.

Anyone have knowledge of how these things work?

If he had been cavorting with members of the establishment, George might be lying on a slab for several months yet.

Isn t there a dispute between his partner and his family over funeral arrangements? And as usual when a top artiste dies there will be an argument about his money.
