The unofficial podcast dedicated to League 1 returns this week as we look back at all the results from the first round of the League 1 Cup, with interviews with some of the victors, as we hear from Barrow Raiders, All Golds, Oxford, and North Wales Crusaders.

In addition we also preview the matches in this weekend's Third Round of The Challenge Cup, as we hear from the Coventry Bears, Fryston Warriors, West Hull, Myton Warriors, and Egremont Rangers.

On this week's show, we are also joined by Total Rugby League's Matthew Shaw.

Made a nice compliment to RL on Radio Yorkshire which I listened to in work earlier in the day.

As pointed out above the only real expansion league but two things struck me the map of the M62 corridor looks a bit odd in this league and some of the best team logos/ badges going.

This is a real model for local radio and I think a few pessimists on here could do with a listen to the people doing the hard yards for the game in new areas especially the retreat to the heartlands brigade.

Excellent podcast. Good to listen to people from amateur clubs too. Have to say I agreed with the assessment of Skolars too (need to finish games off when we are ahead). 

You do release the breadth of approaches to growing support/recruiting players across the various clubs.
