League 1: Newcastle Thunder at home 9th April 2017

Recommended Posts

Newcastles finest (Kev and Jim) will be drinking and plundering their way round Wrexham in a desperate attempt to get some revenge for our i-PRO cup victory last week. If you havent seen it watch the YouTube Clips of the Crusaders tries - if they weren't playing in red you have sworn you were watching Castleford!!

A big game again for Cru (are there any others this season?) and hopefully our wins against York and Thunder and the forthcoming fixture against Toronto - yer 2 (count them) home games on the trot - will draw back some of our lapsed support to come and watch. Good weather predicted too.

Seey you all there.

Home games are like buses, you wait for ages and then two come along!

Very disappointed with the time change of the Toronto game, which means I can't go now, so I'll just have to make the most of tomorrow.

Absolutely - but the time change was nothing to do with the club. The TV company and the RFL are totally to blame for this. Weeks ago they were informed that the floodlights at Queensway were not designed to light the pitch but only the running track. Only on Friday have they contacted Andy M and informed him and even then he was struggling to get confirmation from the RFL. Couldn't make it up!

I know it's not the club's fault and guessed it might be something to do with the floodlights.

Shocking that Andy wasn't contacted until Friday.
