I think your attendance average will now gradually drop as the season goes on and out of curiosity what  would your average attendance be without the Bradford match included.

Also other teams cannot wait for York to visit them with there army of supporters have you filled a coach yet

The average attendance would be 1118 without the Bradford match, still up on last season, and 2nd highest NL1 average if we go like for like and knock off Newcastle's crowd vs Bradford too. Higher than at least 6 championship teams.

With York being a wealthy city, most fans have cars so we dont have to rely on buses.

I prefer to be chauffeur driven to away games in my Rolls Royce, unless it's the summer months in which case the Bentley comes out. I have no need for such common forms of transport as coaches.....looking forward to going on the coach to Odsal though ?

Which of the streets around Bootham Crescent would you recommend I park my Bugatti in when we come over in August?

We have some big games to come at home which will help our average: Donny, Oldham, Workington, Whitehaven, Newcastle and Hunslet. Asides from the Bulls and Keighley there has been very little by way of away support. All big marketable games that will provide a real contest, which I am sure will drag the fans in.

Beer and York Knights. Proof the God loves us and wants us to be happy. 🍺🏉

Also some big away games where I'd expect we'll take a few e.g. Bradford and Keighley. Not sure why anyone would have a dig at our away support though as we took, what 200-300 to Doncaster and Hunslet and 150-200 to Newcastle which isn't that bad surely? Not sure about the away games at Oldham, Coventry and Whitehaven as I didn't get to those but outside of Bradford not many clubs will take a half decent support to those.

There were well over 100 at Haven from York.

Any further updates on the recent attendance averages AB??

Know your busy, but would good to see the difference after the last couple of matches.

You mean you're not paying attention to the stats in the matchday programme? There is a test at the end of the season you know! ?

Will update them this evening.

Ask and you shall receive, fellow Kneets:

Need to recheck the Workington avg. There's a few teams including Workington who for some reason don't include the result of their home match against West Wales, even though every other result is there......maybe they are just ashamed they didn't get near the mighty York's score ?

Bradford 3488 (3913) -11%

York 1584 (1088) +46%

Newcastle 1290 (910) +42%

Oldham 475 (792) -40%

West Wales 289 (229 as S.Wales) +26%

Coventry 458 (366) +25%

London 269 (443) -39%

I'm on it in the next few days ahead of Sundays programme.

Workington wasn't too bad, good honest folk, even went to Workington beach Ok it was chucking it down but I did say I'd take her to see other countries one day and when we squinted we could just make out Scotland, so job done ?

As I've just said on the Worky forum I was expecting to need binoculars having been to plenty grounds with tracks like Odsal, Don Valley (I only saw one match at Huntington stadium with the running track) but it was a half decent view from the grandstand.

Who knows, maybe there'll be a repeat fixture next season and a bit of sun on the beach too!
