Very difficult to say, Who did Huddart play for?

Of those forwards Graham, Reilly, Sam & Morley pick them selves.

Dick Huddart played in the great St  George team from 64-68,becoming the first British player to win a grand final.

I've only being watching Hull for about 20 years, so its not a huge sample size, but the best of my time watching. Its a mixture of the most talented and the ones who have contributed the most to the club and is weighted a little towards the current crop given their recent achievements.

Steve Prescott (as much for the man as the player)

Colin Best

Richie Barnett

Kirk Yeaman (his longevity edges him over better quality players I've seen)

Mahe Fonua

Richard Horne

Marc Sneyd

Mark O'Meley

Danny Houghton

Liam Watts

Willie Manu

Gareth Ellis

Jason Smith

Bench:

Richard Swain

Paul Cooke

Ewan Dowes (I think people forget how good Dowes was circa 2005/6)

Scott Taylor

In well over sixty years watching Bradford there have been plenty of highs and lows, but I'd have been happy to watch this lot anytime:

1   Keith Mumby

2   Jack McLean

3   Ernest Ward

4   Paul Newlove

5   Lesley Vainikolo

6   Henry Paul

7   Tommy Smales

8   Sam Burgess

9   Tony Fisher

10  Stuart Fielden

11  Jamie Peacock

12  Trevor Foster

13  Ellery Hanley

14  Leon Pryce

15  Karl Fairbank

16  Jimmy Thompson

17  David Hobbs.

One or two Fev greats there too as it happens. I agonised between Smales and Deryck Fox.

And when they found our shadows

Grouped around the TV sets

They ran down every lead

They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their lists

And then the alien anthropologists

Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason

For our sad demise

They logged the only explanation left

This species has amused itself to death

No tears to cry no feelings left

This species has amused itself to death

Not the greatest, but my favourites. It's terrible having to leave so many out. Superleague era is a much higher standard but much less fun to watch.

1  Ian Wilkinson

2   Dave Redfearn

3   Steve Donlan

4   Nigel Stephenson

5   Phil Ford

6   Johnny Wolford

7  Ivan Henjak

8   Ian van Bellen

9   Tony Fisher

10  Jimmy Thompson

11  Jeff Grayshon

12  Dick Jasiewicz

13  Gary Hale

14  Brian Noble

15  Jack Austin

16  Graeme McKay

17  David Hobbs.

Can you name your club's greatest ever 1-17 combining all eras?

If so I'd be interested to see a few teams put up on this thread and it'll help me to create them later on Rugby League Live 4 video game.

Obviously all these types of things are fairly subjective, but don't let that stop you.

Here's an example for St Helens (shamelessly nicked from the web) - feel free to add your team to it:

St Helens: 1. FB: Paul Wellens, 2. WG: Tom van Vollenhoven, 3. CE: Doug Greenall, 4. CE: Paul Newlove, 5. WG: Darren Albert, 6. SO: Les Fairclough, 7. SH: Alex Murphy, 8. PR Alan Prescott, 9. HK: Kieran Cunningham, 10. PR: Cliff Watson, 11. SR: Dick Huddart, 12. SR: Chris Joynt, 13. LF: Paul Sculthorpe, 14. SH: Sean Long, 15. LF: George Nichols, 16. LF: Vince Karalius, 17. FB: Kel Coslett

No Alf Ellaby? Yikes

In an all-time 13 or 17 then there's no doubt about Karalius. Wish I'd seen him play either for us or GB. The written stories are legendary enough.

Imagine how Oz pack felt facing the Karalius and Mctigue. No wonder we were supreme on 60's

Richie Barnett in the London team??

I remember when Dymock, Hetherington and Barnett signed for London - all top drawer players and a very exciting time

And a little known Dennis Moran ! Couldn't quite fit Richie in, his jollying off to Hull didn't leaving me thinking highly of him ! We've attracted some good Aussies in our time, don't forget Spud Carroll and Craig Gower, as well as the above, plus some unheard off like Shane Millard, Tony Mestrov, Terry Matterson, Mark Tookey and Denny Solomona. And I mostly respect the northerners who tried to make a go of it, the last few years there have been many but back in the day Chris Melling, Karl Hammond, Rob Smyth, Andy Johnson, Jon Roper, Danny Orr even Paul Davidson (aaagh) .... and the legend Danny Ward

Sorry Konkers. As a small boy I caught the dying embers of Northern's great post war side, so Foster, McLean and Ward had to be in my team. Happy to have Karl starting and Trevor or Jamie on the bench.

Several more great players missed the cut, Deacs, Deryck Fox, Robbie, Mick Withers, Tevita, Jeff Grayshon, Terry Clawson. And lest we forget, Neil Fox also played for Northern. Can't pick them all.
