Toulouse Olympique XIII v Dewsbury Rams K.O. 2.30pm UK/ 3.30pm Local

Sunday 24th Sept :

Batley Bulldogs v Sheffield Eagles K.O. 3pm

Toulouse's Jouffret has been on the end of two high shots in just the first 30min. The ref needs to act now!

Jouffret has had a very very very average stint with TO so far but today has looked the goods so far. A try, two linebreak. Dewsbury have already committed two blatant faults on him to stop him from getting away with the ball.

Is he turning into a feel good story? Very average player for Catalans reserve, gets game time and suddenly explodes through the roof?

Interestingly, if Batley beat Sheffield then lose to Toulouse then the whole of these 8's fixtures will have been a waste of time.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Disappointed for Batley. Played well the last 20 minutes but just ran out of time to get the winning score. Well done to Sheffield.

A final would have been nice but realistically it would have been extremely difficult at Toulouse anyway. 

I've enjoyed the season. Everyone could see yesterday how big a loss coach John Kear and captain Keegan Hirst were so I think we did very well to consolidate. There have been some very good wins and the players gave their all as usual.

He has been disappointing up to the Swinton game where he filled in well for Robin, even getting a special mention from Houles and yesterday he was MOM with Mika a close second. He again received high praise from Houles so maybe a change of heart will result ? I'm sure he will go back to the Catalans if they get relegated.
