audois
The report says that they found a debt (hidden?)of €120,00 from the previous administration. It was reported their budget for this season to be €650,000. They have no overseas players. While neigbours Lezignan on a budget of €500,000 have three overseas as well as Pelissier signed up. It s merry go round though. Hvy wg
Carcassonne (sitting on a 100 000 area) and without overseas, is in a worse position than Lezignan (10 000 area) with 3 overseas and Limoux (10 000 area). That's to wonder how can't Carcassonne be viable and Lezignan/Limoux/Saint-Gaudens be?
fcl
the deficit is 140 € or 125 £. The budgets announced in the newspaper were fanciful. The budget of Lezignan largely underestimated Like that of Limoux for several seasons www.fcl13.fr FCL XIII - Lezignan Corbieres Rugby League

Lezignan is the city of the department which won the most population and became the third city of the department. there is a lot of work and new businesses. Lezignan also benefits from its proximity to Narbonne and the support of institutional partners. Carcassonne is less dynamic, competing with other sports and had a very bad presidents To be optimistic, the new direction looks more realistic and the rugby union club will probably leave Pro D2at the end of the season www.fcl13.fr FCL XIII - Lezignan Corbieres Rugby League

Kane B was put out to pasture for various reasons and Houles has put his faith in Kriouache, a bit of a loose cannon for me and Bouzinac who doesn't have that much experience at a higher level. Eloi would have been perfect IMO but maybe the salary would have been a sticking point with the arrival of Barthau etc ? Dunno, just guesing. dunno much
Anthony Marion has been given the 9 jersey, a good option I think.

I thought Marion might be shifted to loose forward or used as a utility this season but common sense has prevailed. Marion is such a quality and underrated player and in my view TOs season imploded at the business end of last year because he was moved away from that position to cover Ford and Robins injuries. Should've been in the French squad too at the World Cup.

Hvy wg
Alexandre Mickalezyk seems to have gotten his game to a new level after leaving Catalans reserve. Not only did he hit the gym (tops the weight ladder at Carcassonne at 112kg) but it seems a new start was all that he needed to kickstart his career. Considering Catalans have a grand total of 3 players in the second row (Anderson, Garcia, Jullien), and the fact that Mickalezyk seems like the most promising one in the Elite (Perez has an higher workrate but doesn't have half the power), would they be wrong recall him at the end of the Elite season? Hvy wg
Score update : Palau 32 - 18 Villeneuve. Things have gotten better at Palau since they recruited Marginet. Toulouse 36 - 40 Saint Gaudens. Not a game for the defences this one... Albi 16 - 24 Limoux. Albi got carried away by Limoux "experience". Lezignan 31 - 6 Carcassonne. Too powerful, too fast for Carcassonne as Pomeroy, Gregorius and Pelissier lead the way.
audois
Decent set of results again for Elite 1 Palau got their first win last weekend at St Gaudens and yesterday backed up with first home win. Amine Miloudi was on debut and with Marginet ex – Featherstone/Sheffield alongside won ‘t be short of inspiration. Interesting former Dragons Academy hopeful Lardot was on the bench too. St Gaudens got their first win too at faltering TO – bizarre as Toulouse beat present new Elite 1 leaders Lezignan on the opening weekend of the season. It s more open this term with more teams capable of getting silverware and the bottom end already better than 2017. With some better weather at last a few more watching - reported maybe 2,000 at Lezignan for the Aude derby with ASC and 1,000 or so at Albi with two hundred for a post match meal including the towns mayor. See pic below. In yesterdays match preview at St Esteve coach Thomas Bosc cited 20yr old loose forward Mickael Goudemand as one player to look out for – the coach said he has the potential to integrate the pro team of the Dragons this season.Encouraging. oiseau
Villeneuve and ASC on the slide. Things are panicky at the Leopards, David Elllis is struggling to get it together which is bad news for a club with Championship One intentions in three years. What's happening at ASC, ? oiseau
Seems to run in the family.... ASC did ok against the unfancied sides but really need to be beating title contenders, don't they ? Next up Albi which will be a close affair.
