You need experienced heads who’ve been there , done it and know what it takes .He’ll get us around the park , organise things , direct players and compliment Newton . Hopefully he’ll use that la’al scoot as well .Good move for a season and another shrewd signing to add what Leon is looking for

Good signing. And for the 1st time probably since the matty/peds pairing we have 2 specialist hookers in the squad. Howarth, callum etc were good there but not out and out hookers.

He’ll be back in blue and white next year if Leon will have him

I really hope so wonky, how much could callum improve under leon? Its frightening to think how good he could be.

I am really not looking forward to see Callum rip us apart in a haven top either, this must be how haven felt when matty joined us. Hopefully behind a beaten pack we can keep him as quiet as possible.

On a similar note how good was it to see elliot miller back home, 2 tries and dropping someone with a right hook, its like hes never been away!

Especially if Callum’s finally accepting that half back is the place for him. Not sure if he’ll be able to rip us apart though as the boys will be well aware of his game and have his cards marked.

And yeah having ell back is great, in fact all the new boys all seem very good recruits. Again I know it was against very limited opponents but newton, Wilkes, Kurt and especially akehurst all looked the part. Nice to see Sam using his pace for a long ranger as well. Lots of options in the backs this year

That one really is a new one on me , pretty embarrassing to sign players then wonder how you get them . By the way this is quite a big signing for us but I haven’t seen it picked up in the RL news anywhere and be good to see some pics n quotes as it was just a quick tweet

No club should expect the supporters to help with air fares and accommodation and food expenses to acquire overseas players , if you cant afford or cant find board or corporate sponsorship then you look closer to home shores , paying through the turnstiles , buying shirts and other merchandise , using the bar and functions and raffles etc is meant to be the the way supporters keep the players paid and new guys signed . Its becoming ridiculous to have players available by social media donations . False economics never end well .

I will admit I have donated to the cause as I think it’s very important they come over they are our star players I don’t believe the club is right by doing this to the fans but I would help any way I can to field the best possible side at haven we don’t have much money this year so we have to help anyway we can I’m sure town would do the same and there fans if in similar circumstances nobody is proud to be in this situation but that’s the state of the game at the min up here

can see where you are coming from but turn the clock back 12 months when you were maxing out and going for it and haven fans ridiculing the Cumbria storm coach and connections and town signing young amateurs to challenge in a semi pro league , etc , etc the gloating went on while town fans warned of what would happen this year , now who was correct and who is the stronger for it ?
