Halifax Feb 18th

Has the potential for another mud bath and we come up against a giant blond ex Wolfe...Mr Fleming!!!

If its muddy i say we win by 6 or less, if its not muddy we win by 20+. Boys will looking to bounce back but Fax is one of the top 4 contenders and like everyone in the division not to be taken lightly. Hope Fleming has a great game...next week.

Anyone else find it hard not to cheer for the ex players? Craig Hall was a bit of an exception...might be because he's at Leigh perhaps but i was happy for Crossly and will probably be cheering the big Flemingo on as well.

A hard game to predict to be honest, depends on which Fax team shows up. On their day they are a hard team to get the points from, Toronto's result against Barrow will have given them some confidence.

Whoever wins it will be by a margin of 6-8 points in my humble opinion.

It is a must win for both teams*.

Toronto need to show they can put the disappointment of the dropped point at Barrow behind them. Halifax need to show themselves and their fans that they are credible challengers.

* Every away game for Toronto is a must win.

The guy behind me in the second half on Sunday said " Look at Toronto, they are knackered" and they did.

RL is a very tough game physically, but it requires mental toughness too. Its the size of the heart not the wallet that counts.

why does everyone think that TWP have no heart and soul? If you don't play for the team of your home town you're just a money grabbing journey man who don't care for the game, only it on for the money right?

Internationals are for representing where you're from, club game has nothing to do with it.

We got rid of a few journeymen last season.

I don't need to tell you where one or two ended up

Our Canadian boys are going to come out large against a strong Halifax outfit and get another win for Toronto, Ontario and Canada.   We are currently kicking some butt at the Winter Olympics too.   Our Canadian boys won't take this next game lightly.

In this day and age every team sport in the world boasts players from "elsewhere" whether that is another town, county, or province or even country, in short it matters not one whit where the player originates as long as they play with commitment and the WP players demonstrated that in 2017 and now in 2018. If you can't see that you need to get the scales removed....

sooner or later there will be homegrown talent on the team in addition to the Mighty Quinn!

I would like to see local talent playing for local teams.

Alas, i don't buy the players

i like to see a team of the best players we could assemble.

but luckily we each have a team we can support so hey, who cares.

I don’t do the Winter Olympics Kman. It’s discriminatory to those countries that don’t get snow and ice or are rich enough to send their athletes to one that does.

Great team news from the Coach ahead of the game at Halifax

“Liam Kay was taken off as a precaution last week and he should be fit to go this week, as will Joe Westerman. Joe wasn’t quite right last week so there was no point risking him but he’ll be right to feature this week.

“Ashton (Sims) will be good to go this week as well so it’ll be good to get him on the field.”

You gotta quit making excuses because Canada is beating GB in the Olympics DP...just like we are going to beat Fax in the upcoming game....save your excuses for the fans of the other teams we are going to play...you will find a welcome listening ear there...TWP fans are only interested in results, same as our people for the  Olympics.

Our proud Canadians will win in both of these endeavours!

Far from it Krzzy. Competition is good. Canada battering Kenya at ice hockey isn’t competition. Now Kenya battering Canada at middle and long distance running is good.

I’d be extremely worried if I were you and GB were beating Canada at the fannying about on ice and snow games.
