but plenty others played well too.
Interesting that Briscoe has hardly had any nominations this week, think we are becoming blase about how brilliant he has been! Three penalties earned in the first half, a superb break that set up a try, a wonderful ball-dislodging tackle in the second half, and looked threatening every time he had the ball.

Briscoe's contribution definitely didn't go unnoticed.  He's in the form of his life and every touch seems to lead to something.  Plus big congratulations on the unbelievable achievement of equalling Offiah's record.  There were so many other good performances today though (and the fact that we might just be looking to award mom votes to anyone other than Luke so there's something to play for in the second half of the season !!!)

1 - Holmes

2 - Robinson

3 - Wheeldon

Really solid performance all round which made these choices difficult and expected a bit more from Batley,DR lads Peteru and Walters did the shirt proud and gave big shifts

1. Briscoe

2. Holmes

3. Wheeldon

Many others impressed but more encouraging was the attitude shown by the dual reg playerss. They appeared to give everything they had and you can't ask for more than that. There seems to be a great spirit. Long may it continue.

1. Holmes - safe hands, and had a field day linking from full back, it really could be his natural position. Get that contract extended!

2. Robinson - took it up strongly from restarts, caused them all kinds of problems, and some great finishing. Always a threat.

3. Hock - looking better and better. Could be such an important player as the season develops.

Massive congratulations to Briscoe too for equalling the record. A quieter week for his side of the pitch, mainly due to the change in the halves, yet he still managed to notch again. "He's one of our own!"

Is there also an argument that down the left Farrell has a decent rugby brain and is often involved in the tries but down the right on Sunday we had a forward who, lets say, just takes the tackle more ?

Fair point well made . I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.........

Let's just hope that Johnny D is back soon.
