Cougars News
Dear club sponsors, supporters, employees and volunteers, Today I have given the club notice that I am stepping down as Chairman and Director of Keighley Cougars on 26th May 2018. Having been the Chairman for 8 1/2 years and the major sponsor for 3 1/2 years before that I believe it is time for a change. Managing Keighley Cougars is a demanding role and, given my other commitments, I fear that I will not be able to apply the best of myself to that role in the future. There are other people who will be able to take the club forward and enable it to achieve what it, and the fans deserve, from the strong platform it now has. In this transition time and for the rest of the seasons to come I urge all supporters to get behind the club and help it get to where it rightfully belongs. It’s been an extreme roller coaster over the last 12 years. Not every moment has been a good, or just, one, and some very distressing and sad, but it has been a rare privilege to have been your Chairman. For that, I thank everyone who is, and has been, involved at the club during my time. I wish the best of luck for the club in the future.
