Hi everyone

Due for release in October 2018, this is the latest and arguably the greatest publication from the Oldham Rugby League Heritage Trust.

Four years of research has provided a fascinating insight as to how the club survived the First World War.

190 A4 pages - Packed with facts, figures and images, the book, hardback and in full colour, deals with the running of the club during one of the darkest periods in the history of the country.

Read how just finding 13 players to pull on the jersey became a major struggle with so many of the club’s personnel away in the services. The poignant letters home from players and officials writing from the trenches - filled with hope and despair!

How the mood of the country changed as the “home before Christmas” attitude gave way to the realisation that the conflict would endure for years.

The bravery and sadness as some players were honoured and others were lost.

The trust are giving you the opportunity to place your family memory / dedication into the book.

You can do this one of two ways

You can make your dedication free of charge (maximum of fifteen words) by completing the attached form. Alternatively, please feel free to PM and I will sort

Alternatively you could be a Parton of the book for just £60 and this includes two copies  of the book for you!

Please note - any dedications for inclusion must be received by May 28th 2018

Thanks to all once again. remember everything the trust does is none for profit and all the proceeds are used to save memorabilia associated with the clubs history.

A fantastic way to remember a family member who was lost or survived!

Presales on the book (due to be published in October) are going well, and nearly 100 have already been pre-sold.

We have restricted this book to just 500 copies so for anyone thinking of buying one may bee as well reserving one soon.

Remember, all proceeds from this as always here ploughed straight back into the Heritage Trust as we seek out this long lost gems to preserve them for ever.

We hope to make an announcement on the future of the collection in the coming months.
