My memory is not what it was but wasn't the last Englishman to be head Coach in the NRL  Mal Reilly at Newcastle Knights some 20 odd years ago.

Nowadays the NRL Clubs seem to bring Coaches through their own systems and pathways.

Yes, the penny just dropped.

Wigan draw first blood at Hull KR after Samkins 40/20.

0-6.

We take it for granted a little bit, but the BBC coverage of Challenge Cup games is and has been excellent for a good few years now. Enjoying the build-up to Wire v Toronto: positive and interesting.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Does Brian Noble not know any other descriptions than speedster or big boy?

It's painful listening to him read out the teamsheet.

Just listening to Wilkin also and it's even more painful.

On Premier, his go-to word is "adjudicate". Abused to excess in commentary to smooth over discussion of any refereeing error and so moving on to the next play. "It's been adjudicated a knock-on..." without saying that the ball went backwards and the official is repeatedly incompetent.

Where are all the thousands of Toronto fans?

They offer nothing to the game, no away fans, time to get rid and get the traditional clubs like Huddersfield, Salford, Wakefield etc in

;)

If Thaler is going to ref like this all afternoon they might have to cancel Antiques Roadshow.

Try Toronto. They did us for numbers on both sides of the field there.

How on earth was that a knock-on?????  He lost it backwards!!!!!

You could argue tackle was complete. I also thought a Toronto hand might have touched it to stop it going forwards.

Very early days but Toronto have started comfortably the better team.

LOL!

Trying to get that scrum to comply to the textbook version was great to watch! The players didn't have a clue what he wanted and everyone else couldn't understand why he wanted it.

No, it was the right decision. Westwood lost it forward into the Toronto man, then flicked it backwards.

I am going to put my neck on the block here.

Toronto will win this. They are absolutely full of it and Wire look flat as anything.

How did Lineham not get penalised for hitting the tackler away from the play the ball? Not too mention the forward pass where he was stood in front later in the set? Don't know how the Wire fans can feel aggrieved!
