Widnes deserved more from that game, really good battling performance. Just lacking that bit of class to make Saints pay when it mattered. 

The commentary team and some of the officiating were quite frankly embarrassing in that game. Despite having 2 former players and an ex-ref not one of them seems to know the rules. Clarke & Cummings need ditching ASAP, they're cringeworthy at best.

The officiating wasn't much better with the worst decision of all being the Morgan try. He clearly lost the ball and never grounded it so it was a no try. however Marsh led with his legs into the tackle which is an illegal tackle and a penalty.  So the correct decision should have been a no try, penalty to Saints and a sin binning for Marsh for a foul preventing a try scoring opportunity (just like Peyroux in the first half). How on earth the video ref got that wrong is beyond me.

Pleased we got the win even though they played so badly.

Saints looked out of sorts especially in defence in the first half but we didn't play well and still won so happy with the 2 points.
