Cougars Bring Cullimore In Loan

Keighley Cougars can today confirm the signing of Christopher Cullimore on a month’s loan from Betfred Championship side Halifax.

Cullimore, a hooker by trade, previously had an 18 month spell with the Cougars from mid 2015 to the end of the 2016 season prior to heading over the hill to sign at The Shay.

Christopher arrives at Cougar Park on the back of a month’s loan with Betfred League One rivals Hemel Stags.

Head Coach Craig Lingard said of his new loan signing: “With Matty Beharrell being injured and Lewis Fairhurst leaving, it means that players will have to play in different positions so it was important for us to get cover in.

“Chris being a hooker allows us to have the cover should Ryan Wright or Nathan Conroy have to cover for Matty whilst I look to get a half-back in on loan.”

The club can confirm that ‘Cully’ has been allocated the number 38 jersey and we would like to thank the Airedale Shopping Centre for their sponsorship of Chris.
