A simple question really if you were going to show someone a clip of modern day RL to get them into it. What clip would you use?.

Plenty of good clips available. More NRL than SL, as the Australian TV deal makes so much more footage available to fans. This one's a good collection of skills, as opposed to the many "big hits" videos.

You might not call it 'modern day' RL but I would show the Mark Coyne miracle try from SoO game 1 in 1994.

For impact how about Sam Burgess ball return against Canterbury a couple of seasons ago.

Seem to recall a Ruben Wiki ball return of a similar vein some years back also, where he knocked out Sia Soliola on collision.

That’s why we need top level international RL , who would have thought they would have seen that in their life time?

I was there and I experienced it live, it's something I'll never forget. In 34 years of watching RL it was the most memorable atmosphere I have ever experienced. Put 24500 fanatical Tongans and 500 English together and you'd expect some sort of intimidation, yet there was nothing, they were the most friendly people you could wish to meet and were there to watch RL and support their country. 100% passion before and during the game, handshakes and best wishes for the final after it, both on and off the pitch. Oh, and Tongans and are bloody huge. International RL is the future, the game needs to understand that, every other sport does.

I can't see the videos but even remembering the game is making me all tingly. Makes me smile that the wife (it was her 3rd ever game) will bring up this game in random conversation all the time bless her. 

I'm just getting the feeling back my legs from when they were on our line in that last minute - Man alive what a day!!!

I think one of the biggest changes in the modern era is the sheer athleticism of the modern wingers and some of the unbelievable gravity defying touchdowns they come up with.
