corvusxiii
Since the beginning of time HP 12 has been my favourite whisky. Lightly Smokey with a dry honey echo. However I have a bottle now which is described on the label as 'RICH FULL FLAVOUR. And it is nothing like it used to be. Ok it's a nice drink but complexity has been replaced by cloying sweetness. I'm distraught. It's like finding QoS when you were expecting Another Bloody Sunday! Anyone else noticed? TESTICULI AD BREXITAM.
gingerjon
We have a whisky thread which this may be moved to but … I've just polished off a bottle of Highland Park 12 and didn't find it particularly sweet. A decent Highland malt. I think I remember it being smokier but maybe I was lucky and had some 18 in the past. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. (Terry Pratchett)
