Another Australian that has burnt bridges over in the NRL and no club was interested in him but of course SL were.

He's only 22 as soon as his stock rises with some good performances he'll be back away

Yep.

Where do you think? To the NRL of course. Many players have burnt their bridges over there and no club was interested in them, but they know that if they come here pull some trees up they'll get noticed and clubs over in Australia will think they have learned their lesson so they get another chance.

It's good for the clubs over here in the short term and fans because we get to see these genuinely talented boys, Barba, Carney, Hastings etc but they're here for a stepping stone and to get noticed.

We either get past it players looking for a last pay cheque or boys who have been a bit naughty and looking to show they have learned their lesson

I hope he doesn't burn the bridge near the AJ Bell : it is the only way to get near the place.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Sounds like a good short term move for Salford, but it's only till the end of the season It won't solve any longer term problems with the club and Marwan would most likely have to do this again year.  He may as well get back involved in an official capacity.

Jackson Hastings won't set the A J Bell Stadium on fire  -- not unless he is drunk.

This is correct, he cannot and will not positvely affect the Red devils chances of winning games in the middle 8s, they are toast and the move to sign him for a broke club is reckless and shows total desperation.

the side has been getting mauled on the edges and through the outside backs defensively and lacks metres and go forward from the front row, their rotation from the bench is below standard.

Expecting Hastings to perform well is nonsense. He still is yet to have a VISA granted also and that is no certainty , if it is granted it might not happen quickly.

A really ill-conceived move by Salford showing the inexperience of those charged with running it.

Jackson Hastings may well be the worst Super League signing in years.

Salford looks headed for the Championship.

Agree and  occasionally the 3rd category of good attitude but not getting any / much game time and still young - Drinkwater, Williame, etc. These players will also be looking to get back to Sydney if possible!

I'm not sure where the battle to sign him comes from?

Giants made an offer, his agent made demands the giants wouldn't match so gave him a deadline to accept. Deadline passed.

Salford seemingly met the demands of his agent.

Got to think Salford could spend their money in better waysm

Hastings...Battle...c'mon, work with me here...Battle of.....

In a similar vein, the people who have decided he will be the worst player ever to play in Super League will be absolutely jonesing for Salford to lose his debut game 10-66.
