He has been transferred to Wigan with immediate effect. On the face of it a strange decision by Swinton getting rid of players with the business end of the season coming up.

However, it seems the Lions get a guaranteed 3 loan players from the Warriors until the end of the season so it is probably a good deal for them.

Could it give them a big enough lift to trouble Barrow?

Aren't the Pies generous, they take a clubs star player and give them enough to patch them up till the end of season.

Swinton have the choice about struggling this year or struggling next year, meanwhile The Pies fall back on their Sky money and play in a football ground.

I'm pretty sure the 3 loan players played for Swinton at the weekend against Fev who beat them 60-4.
