A lot of 30 - 0 scores there, must be a coincidence as all games were played when barla ran the game in the 'traditional' season  weren't they? ?

Yep the BARLA leagues have always been open and honest about defaults,  10 games not played Stanningley x 3 Townville x 4 & Upton x 3, not a coincidence they all finished in the bottom 3 of a very strong division, with the bounce of the ball and a bit of luck even the sixth placed team could have won this division and it was like this most seasons, dare I say the management let the CMS Yorkshire league down and this saw teams in droves heading for the greener grass of the Pennine league.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

10  30-0 in a season looks good to me when  you compare it with the YML league, who have had less than 50% matches completed weekly in the last couple of months.

13 results (Including 1x 24 - 0) out of the 21 fixtures listed for last Saturday in the YML, that's just short of 62% completion rate (without the 24 - 0 it would be 57% )

remember this season very well as it was my last. season after the Warriors were harshly ejected from the NCL. notice the 30-0 Warriors - old boys result? that was supposed to be the title decider at the end of the season but there was a pre booked blackpool stag do that weekend for one of the lads that all the squad was on. Old Boys refused to re arrange the game and the league sided with them and gave them the walk over. shame as that would have been a classic way to end a tight season.

One of the original summer competitions were not honest a few years back and I am not going to go trawling through all my info to find proof of that right now so you will just have to take my word for it. I think it only lasted one season but they recorded some ficticious scorelines with no accompanying reports. They only admitted that they worked the results out based on averages after they were challenged. I rarely comment on the Summer/Winter argument because it suits me to watch RL all year round and most of the players I speak to prefer summer but there can be no doubt what so ever that there are less players available in summer.

They only admitted that they worked the results out based on averages after they were challenged. I rarely comment on the Summer/Winter argument because it suits me to watch RL all year round and most of the players I speak to prefer summer but there can be no doubt what so ever that there are less players available in summer.

Some competitions have 24 0 or 30 0 default scoreline if a game is forfeited, others taken an average of the teams scores for that season like NCL have this season with Stanley Rangers for their games not played so their games are down as 60  to 9 or something like that so yes they are fictitious scores but no more than 24  0, 30 0 etc

And I thought stag dos only took place in the summer months and started when the RFL took over, Im shocked??

Some of the fictitious scores in the RLC we're for fictitious teams who never even crossed the start line at the start of the season, it was a ploy to boost the numbers of teams and players for sports England to gain a greater amount of funding, once the RFL got caught out with this, they ( sports England) reduced the funding,  another ploy was to count any player who played winter and summer as two players.

Shame they got caught out because the extra funding was doing a good job with development officers around the country.

I took in the Bentley 20 v 0 Batley Boys game today, enjoyed the game from two well drilled sides, shame only 50% of the premier division fixtures went ahead, I've heard on the grape vine that East Hull are having a meeting and the outcome could result in them applying to re-join the NCL.

East hull struggled yesterday against our full strength side back from work & holiday commitments who didn’t play at Bentley and we finally lost in the league for the first time since April 2016

We had 7-8 youngsters at Bentley on debut so the futures bright at Batley Boys we are hoping to be accepted into the NCL after a great challenge cup run along with another great season in premier of the Yorkshire men’s league

some great memories rise of the old Yorkshire league here always will remember 2007/2008 season when we won the double
