Looking at the remaining fixtures it will be tight and I'd say Oldham and Donny in 3rd and 4th with Workington and hunslet will be in the dog fight for 5th , could go down to points diff .

Yes, Worky and ‘Haven both have to play Bradford, Donny and York.

Bradford, North Wales Crusaders, Oldham, Coventry, Doncaster, York.

North Wales need to get a good win on Sunday, then at home against West Wales the following week in preperation for a real battle at Coventry... with Doncaster to follow. We are low on players with a long list of injuries - probably most teams going through that now but really sad to see James Dandy stretchered off last week and needing CT and MRI scan following a head and neck injury against Bradford Bulls.

It was only last month when Coventry won their 4th game on the bounce by comprehensively beating West Wales Raiders.

Since then they have lost all their games, but since West Wales Raiders haven't won one on the bounce, the home side must be the favourite side to play against when it comes to ending losing runs.

But,that has to change at some point, and the losing culture must end.

Stability and continuity seems to be key.

The coach at Coventry has been in position for a few seasons and has put a side together which improves incrementally.

Made a good signing in Ben Stead, from All Golds.

Interesting that this week CQ Capras appointed the assistant,a former Huddersfield hooker,to step up to head coach when Kim Williams heads to Wales next month.

Will Steve Parry get the assistant gig for 2019?

This period of the season, now, should be treated as pre-season for 2019.

My retained list may be shorter than that wanted by others.

I have seen the squads on the RFL site but I shall wait until I see the warm-up on Sunday before any feeling of confidence.

Last week,in the wind and rain, and with the lack of music, animation or belief,it was like Day Of The Zombies After The Apocalypse.

Tactical genius of the day was the PA announcer - mother of our player of the year, thus far, changing to Welsh language after York hit the century. It sounded much less painful.

It can only get better.

Kudos to James Ford, head coach at York City Knights for the encouraging words directed at the players of/for West Wales Raiders, post game.

Further kudos to the Scarlets rugby union followers who are really behind the club - and the players.

I'm learning...

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.
