Graham
How sad to hear that Lance Thompson has died at such a young age. He was only 40. Sadly it was his teenage daughter who found him dead on Thursday evening. It's not yet clear what the cause of death was, but it is not being treated as either suspicious or of self harm. He played over 200 games for Dragons and spent the last season of his career at Sharks. He finished playing due to chronic knee problems. Vichyssoise
He always gave his all on the field. I liked him when he was a Dragon, loved him after he'd joined the Sharks. 40! That's way too young to go. Thank you for the memories, Lance. Farmduck
When the ABC reports deaths they always include all the Helpline numbers if it was a suicide (even when they don't say it was a suicide) and they didn't in this case so I don't know what the cause would have been. Graham
Not necessarily death related, I believe he was diabetic. The Australian Rugby League Forum
