Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Not if it's their NCL team they won't - in fact I dare say they'll win it if it is.

I was thinking they'd go well and who knows the winter may be better suited for their squad of players.

Be suprised if Tollbar complete this season. Won’t like it in that top division

Ian Tattersall is back coaching with them and they have been poaching players again, they have taken two excellent players from us and both have played pro and still only in their mid-twenties.

Roberts brothers ?

Be interesting then to see how they go then if they’ve signed a few.

I saw on FB that Hanging Heaton have dropped out as they were not happy going in the top division, this probably stems from their disputes with certain members of the pennine committee last season who refused in the end to process any of their registrations.

Seem very up and down them. Played against them a few years back when they were on way up, got tough and they dropped off. I know the lad who coached them last year and a couple involved with them. Used to be Dudley Hill lads, they won the league how can you not be happy going up when you are champions?

Hanging Heaton where not following the correct procedure on registrations and as for dropping out didn't they win their division last season and as johnmatrix says, they will struggle without the lads who already play in the summer with NCL clubs.

Makes me laugh the RFL try the switch to summer card and ruin the amateur game both open age and youth. You now have teams dropping out the remaining fixtures of so called summer and enter the YML Autumn comp, you can enter the 40-20 Cup which starts in March so with pre-season it’s like all year rugby

I argued the season should have gone Sept-Dec with a break then March-June but it appears nobody knows when is the best Time to play RL, funny we were always told only Pennine and Hull had a liecence to run winter, oh and I can’t see the Hull league taking off this winter

I actually proposed a season very much like that to the Pennine committee, the only difference was the first period would be one season with divisions of 5 to 6 teams, this would have allowed summer teams wanting to play to keep their clubhouse tills ticking over could do so, the second half of the season would have allowed the divisions to be adjusted into teams of equal standard, this would have allowed the teams not fairing so well to play each other after the break and hopefully stem the end of season collapse we see every season in both winter and summer.
