I should imagine so, probably full hairdryer treatment. No sense of humour the ref.

Can understand his frustration totally but in the heat of the moment it was a bit daft.

The time of the game the incident happened, you can understand how frustrated a player may become. The referee had just disallowed a try that I am sure would have been given 99 times out of 100 if there had been a video ref. Then the referee gives a weak penalty to the opposition. You tend to think he is against you, but you should still try to keep your thoughts to your self.

How could he be bias, when there was a coming together, he did dispatch two players, one from each side, oh no sorry two from the same side, one sent off and one sin binned. It will be the referees voice which is heard at the disciplinary and sadly the two players who were dispatched with red cards will be unavailable to us at Bradford if we get there.

A sterling effort from the men who the second half 6-0 with only 10 men.

Wouldn't have been any issues had the club made it all ticket in the first place and set a sensible capacity of say 1100, give Bradford 700,Oldham 400 and the job is sorted.

As it is I suspect quite a few of our walk ups may swerve this fixture due to possibly not even getting in if capacity is reached early and having to get in 2 hrs before kick off to guarantee a spot at OUR bloody home game!!

Well done Oldham, looked after our own fans royally for probably one of the biggest games of the season and one possibly that that could have gained a bigger crowd (at a different venue) with marketing etc and being such a big game attracted a few floating fans.

The club cry on for fans to attend and put out calls for fans to rally round, then kick our supporters in the nuts. I'm still fuming tbh about how this farce has panned out at the expense of our own support.

Some fans may not have been able to pick a ticket up in the week and now may be shut out, imagine turning up as a supporter who has been to every game pay on the gate and be turned away because the ground is full! If we wanted to lose fans then we sure go about it the right way.

On the other hand we don't know what tomorrow's capacity is, how many tickets both us and the Bulls have sold, how many pay on the gates will turn up, it's all on the back of a fag packet stuff at the moment. Tomorrow will either be a success for the club/ground or a monumental john halls up.

With a big crowd in, viewing will be decidedly dodgy and also I'm a bit worried about crowd safety in a ground quite frankly unsuitable for large numbers. Don't take that as a slight against AVRO or the ground overall, it's improved a lot and I have enjoyed the games there,it's been perfectly adequate for all the previous games.

Just this one with Bradfords huge support is a bit on a wing and a prayer if you ask me due to the layout of the spectator areas, lack of turnstiles/exits etc.

I feel the stewards will have a massive job on tomorrow and wish them well, the GSO and his team have been excellent this season, and I take this opportunity to thank them for everything at home games. It's been a pleasure talking to each and everyone of them.

Hopefully those who do attend will get in and enjoy the product on the pitch. The lads deserve the support, the club does not.

Sold our own fans out, that's my feeling and it won't change.

Still after all that like a muppet I will be there of course, with a bit of luck we will pull off a win and silence the Bradford hordes.

We live in hope for a win and a change of attitude from the club next season in every way possible, the first bit is doable ,the second is very debatable.

Those of you that make it to the game, see you there.

Up the Yeds!

I agree with you 100% on the ground situation,it was not suitable today. I was on the touchline where I normally stand and there was people having to watch their step in case they slid down incline at the back of us. Big health and safety no-no in my eyes. Again not a dig at avro, just the ground isn't suitable for the types of numbers we had today.

Immense effort from the lads again but today really summed out up our season in one game. Too many stupid mistakes at crucial times followed by indiscipline that spirals out of control and allowed Bradford to score 24 points in 10 mins.

All 3 cards were deserved with Hooley lucky not to get a red as well. Lack of discipline has been a huge problem all year, we must have been penalised the most in all three leagues for dissent.

The big positive for me today was Hewitt. With Crook being out he took full responsibility for the team and relished it and got his hands on the ball almost every phase. If we had a stand off to compliment him we would have had a massive chance at promotion but that seems almost impossible for us now. Langtree was great again as usual and Reid and Kershaw had very solid games.

Team selection was a bit odd again for me. No McComb who has been one of best players all year in our biggest two games of the season is utterly baffling to me and then dropping Jones today who has been very good off the bench.

As it turned out mate it seemed ok to me in the ground thankfully, as far as I saw most folk seemed to accept the situation and the ground for what it is.

I was behind the sticks both halves so cant comment on the Whitebank road side tbh.

I still think it was on a wing and a prayer and could have been oh so different and thats what worried me in the first place.

Dodged a bullet today I feel and I hope if we stay at the Vestacare and get a big crowd again then things will be done differently and lessons have been learned  from today, the stewards did a great job today and Bradford fans were a credit to their club.

I'm glad that as far as I know everyone got in and out safely and enjoyed a game of RL.

Yes,the Bradford contingent seemed a decent set of fans, the ones we stood with were up for a bit of friendly banter which is always a big plus.Shame we didn't win but for a few silly mistakes and a couple of sendings off.In the second half especially two men down we didn't do too badly.

Great to nil Bradford in the second half - just a shame the Yeds made those stupid mistakes to let them back into the game. The effort put in by the whole team was incredible and fully deserved the ovation they got at the end. Just saddens me to think that if they played like they have for the last two games where we would be in the league, definitely not 5th with a trip to Bradford in the playoffs.

The Bulls supporters are probably the best supporters I have come across in over 50 years of watching our great game. They enjoyed the banter, they appreciated the effort put in by both sides, agreed when the ref made some stupid decisions, in a nutshell they know what our great game is about - having a great day out enjoying each other's company and watching two sides standing toe to toe knocking seven colours out of each other!

Couldn't see who got sent off, and I can't find out. With two out for the rest of the season we are right down to the bones.

The equivalent of saying to the ref - " Please send me off sir ". I can't say too much though I was guilty of equally stupid actions in my football career.

How Scott saw it

HAVING seen his side go 10-0 up; then concede four unanswered tries, three of them in six minutes; and then blank out the division’s top scorers for the entire second half, most of it with 12 men, Scott Naylor was again left bemused and baffled by his side’s performance against Bradford Bulls.

Not wanting the rumour mill to run but I wonder if our two players had holidays booked post the end of the original finish date and now the season is running till 2030 (?) they needed a ban to get on the plane.

Or may be they have had enough of the clowns running the game.
