The chap who reported for the Pont & Cas retired last March and has not been adequately replaced, although new Yorkshire Post correspondent Ben Kavanagh now covers most Fev games as both papers are part of the Johnson Press.

The guy who did it for many years did not want naming and wanted to retire without a fuss, but many of us knew him and I'm sure would wish to thank him for his excellent work over the years.

Sadly the newspaper industry is dying on its feet as other media sources are taking over.
