Around 45 applicants so far, although the chancers and imposters were easy to spot and remove. A bloke called Arthur Chadwick looks promising but could be strongly challenged by a William Fallowfield. Blind side johnny
There are a lot of young British coaches in the game at present eager to make a name for themselves but just needing a chance to shine. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we took a bit of a gamble on selecting one of those in the hope of really building from the ground up. Seems to be late, players will be signing re signing at clubs as we speak Given that the last coach only resigned less than two weeks ago there has been little chance to speed up the process. Add to that the fact that the RFL have still not finalised what the actual distribution payouts to any of the Championship clubs will be next season and it makes it difficult for any club to budget with any accuracy; unless you have a (reliable) sugar daddy, that is. Crown Flatter
Whoever the new coach might be I hope he selects a team of in-form individuals, not his favourites and that he coaches attacking rugby and a solid defence (the latter like London at the weekend).
