PENNINE FIXTURES

Recommended Posts

See Hunslet Warriors v East Leeds has been arranged for March 2nd this cannot be correct after Warriors cancelled the away fixture and a 30-0 result given to East Leeds. The cancelled game should be treated as Warriors home fixture and the new fixture should be played at East Leeds. Otherwise you will get teams not travelling and be happy to give a 30-0 result.

The Warriors are playing at your place George on the 2nd of March George.

Billy don't particularly watch any team just noticed this as I turned up to watch it when it was cancelled had a look on the Pennine League fixtures it still shows the Warriors at home.

No mate,  we have fallen foul to lads going to summer clubs to get games because the gaps between our games created by local cups became to great.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

I know, I think a couple of areas need looking at, local cups and DR for a short period when the seasons cross over, you can't expect players to sit out 2 or 3 weeks without playing when they can get a game elsewhere, sadly the same will happen to the summer sides when the winter season starts again.

My lad hasn't played for a month, two challenge cup rounds (he's only 16 and none of the young lads were in the CC  squads) and two postponements.Couldn't play today because he's playing for 18's tomorrow and club won't let them play Saturday and Sunday.

The season would have just about finished if teams hadn't have postponed games.

That's the problem, not local cup games.

We've always fallen foul to local cups, especially the districts that have more than one competition, one year we where on the top of the Yorkshire Premier with two games to go, it took 9 weeks to play those games, we got beat by the bottom club at home then two weeks later got beat by Queens by a late try also at home.

Yep Moorends v Hunslet Warriors (Couldn't raise a team, this is the 4th NCL side in the last 2 season's not to turn up)

Marauder you are quick to go to print regarding NCL teams not turning up to play at your ground, but your record of playing away to NCL teams is not all that great either.

We've missed 2 in 2 seasons with the initial  date of one being called off by the NCL team on the other hand we've had 4 not turn up here in two seasons, so yes it's not good but better than others.

Come on Jim, it was the Pennine League side that conceded.

You still haven't got over beating  the Pennine League side one week and losing to the NCL team a week later in the Yorkshire Cup
