West Hull were playing on it prior to the KCOM being built. It was also known as the Circle cricket ground. I can’t recall any union teams playing anywhere near the city centre. There’s only so much you can do with a club’s design so you are going to get year’s where they mix it up a little bit. At least they haven’t gone too far away from tradition like Wigan seem to every few years (the pink one, the diagonal one, the norweb paint splatter thing to name a few). I actually quite like it and we've seen a lot, lot worse (2006). The club will be fuming that it's leaked though as seeing it presented in a shabby way hung askew on a hanger definitely isn't the way they want people to see it for the first time. We are well used to clubs getting a random player in a normal shirt and jeans to pull on a shirt over the top while someone snaps it in their phone, but we need the big clubs to set an example. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly. It was said that one world travel will continue as sponsors, but the flyer has ambitemp on it, who sponsored the magic shirt. The away shirt launch is set to coincide with the switching-on of the christmas lights in Wakefield. Likely to be a more random trendy alternative. The merchandise at Wakefield has been getting better every year, in quality and variety. Even though some say ISC is not great, it's the best we've ever had.
