The Dons have confirmed the signing of prop forward Brandon Douglas on a one-year deal.

The 21-year-old arrives after leaving Super League side Castleford Tigers, and spent the 2018 campaign on loan at Halifax.

He said: “It’s a great feeling to have signed, we have some good facilities here and it was an easy decision to sign.

“I met up with Carl Hall a couple of months back and he was the first man I spoke to, and he left a lasting impression.

“I play in the middle and can play in the back-row as well, I see myself as an impact player and I’m looking for a big year in 2019."

Head coach Richard Horne said: “Brandon is a young and exciting forward who has played at Championship and Super League level over the past couple of seasons.

“For him to choose Doncaster as the next club for him over a couple of others shows our intent for the 2019 season.

“He is an athletic middle who will add a lot to our team, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
