clifford
It gives me no pleasure in advising that John died last week. John was a diehard Oldham supporter, who was unable to attend matches but his heart was firmly at sheddings. John went to Australia to watch Oldham in the super league His funeral is being held at 11.30 on 19/10 at the crematorium In hollinwood. John was 49,and he leaves a wife and children. He was also a former player at Oldham rufc.
tub
Didn't know John but very sorry to hear this , he was obviously a true fan and no doubt rugby in Oldham will be poorer without him. RIP
moorside roughyed
Didn't know John tbh but he sounded like he was Oldham through and through, that'll do for me. The Oldham rugby family will be poorer without him. I think everyone's heart is still at sheddings for people who are old enough. RIP mate. clifford
His dad is Roger Norris who use to do the stewards at sheddings and if you remember the green cabin in the corner at sheddings that was Rogers room on match days When I was at Swinton I went to the gate next to the office and John was on the gate so I showed him my players pass and he said you are not coming in here for free. That's my best mate. So Alec let me through the changing rooms
