Chief executive Carl Hall believes Richard Horne has created a strong culture during his first full season with the club.

The head coach guided the Dons to a third placed finish in Betfred League One last season, and Hall says the club is in a good place.

He said: “He has transformed the culture of the club and the playing style, he deserves credit for the job he has done.

“Everything happens for a reason and we want to make sure that we improve in 2019 and put ourselves in a good position.

“You can’t buy the togetherness that we’ve got now, we had something like it in 2012 and that eventually got us promoted.”

With pre-season training just a few weeks away, Hall says the squad are all keen to get back and hit the ground running.

He added: “The players have all been impressed with the plans set out for them by Calum Christopherson, and we’re having a coaches meeting to discuss everything ahead of pre-season.

“We will talk about different things and it’s interesting for me to hear how passionate all the backroom staff are.

“It’s important that the players have taken time to relax and get away on holiday, but I know everyone is looking forward to getting back in a month or so.”

Dons 2019 season tickets are now on sale, and can be bought from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
