MOS

I've a few quid on Richardson at 26/1.  Hate to say it but Hardaker at 14/1 might be a decent bet.  Mcshane would enter my calculations but not sure 10/1 is enough value.  Jackson Hastings at 33/1 might be worth a punt (good players in unsuccessful teams  have won it a few times in recent years, Chase and Clark at Cas for example).

Top try scorer

Eden is short at 6/1 but if he Gale, Matauti and Shenton stay relatively injury free still a good call.  Looking for value ew shots id pick Percival 20/1+ or BJB 33/1).  Charnley at 8/1 is a safe EW bet.

Looks like Trinity have signed Brough for next year and if so he’ll get the ball wider than previous Trinity Halfs. Which is good news for Tom Johnstone and Bill Tupou, who could be top try scorer and Man of Steel respectively.

Luke Thompson and Danny Richardson are also good bets for MoS

Hastings great value however I can see Gigot MOS. Dracs likely to be stronger this year and make the P/Os and he's the main Man there.  Naiquima worth a punt here too and a older wiser Richardson.

Agree TJ for Tries looks solid or Charnley or Lineham.

A full year of Josh Charnley makes me think he’ll be there or thereabouts and I’m sure his odds reflect that. A fully fit Dom Manfredi too could easily be up there for tryscorer.

As for Man of Steel, Blake Austin could have it sewn up by Easter if he hits the ground running. I also fancy George Williams, depending on who Wigan sign to partner him.

Blake Austin at Warrington will go close if he settles

You haven't looked too closely at the history of MOS.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

MOS

Hastings drifted to 16/1 for a while, he's my pick.

I wouldn't put anyone of Gale at 16/1 (betfred) though.

Away from the market principles I quite like Sezer as a long shot 33/1 (shame you cant get ew markets though and would like a bit more juice in the price).  Daz Clark at 25/1 looks fair too.

If French did get the full back spot 33/1 could be big for MOS.

I also like Manu Mau to make the dream team at 8/1 (Betfred)

Just realised youve bumped last years thread. Looks like I let a 33/1 shot get away ???

I am taking handley at 16s also tempted by bevan french hearing he is playing full back still 18/1 anyone any more thoughts before I place bets? Any thoughts on man of steel?

If you did want French he's 25/1 with Billy Hill for top try scorer.  Tom Davies at 66-1 has a bit of value.

Last 10 MOS have been Winger (1), full back (3), Half back (4) or Hooker (2).

8 of them played for a team which finished top 5.

Statistically you are looking for a top team lead pivot.

My shortlist presently is.

Zak Hardaker (25-1) FB

Jack Walker (80-1) FB

Luke Gale (16-1) HB

Hastings (backed at 16/1) HB

Kelly/Connor (33-1) HB

Lomax (22-1) HB

Clark (28-1) HK
