So what standard are Barla Lions? I take it that the team is drawn from amateur clubs. That was a close game going by the score line.

Yeah it's mainly NCL players with a few from regional leagues. Worth noting it's a slightly different criteria to the one to play for England Lionhearts, as you have to have played for your county side to be eligible for BARLA.

I’m surprised to see there aren’t any players from any of the Hull clubs in the squad.
