Marauder
Thorne Boys school team 1959/60. these guys have or about to reach their 70th birthdays, many can still be seen down watching the local side and one went on to be the main sponsor for Doncaster RLFC when they played at Tattersfield. 3 Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits. http://www.pitchero....hornemarauders/

londonbronco
This one of Anthony Gelling. After being substituted late in the Widnes' game against Halifax on Sunday he watched the final few minutes sat next to a young fan who had asked him for his autograph instead of watching from the bench.

It truly is a great photo that, it's all over FB and in the comments of one posting the guy that took it posted another with the lad looking up at Gelling, its a gem but I think this one is better. Gelling deserves a great deal of credit for making that lads day 3 100% League 0% Union Just because I don't know doesn't mean I don't understand
Futtocks
Life on Planet Gelling always looks a lot more fun than life on Planet Earth. He may be a Chemic now, but he's still got a lot of fans in Cherry & White. Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted. Pyjamarama
This pic is courtesy of Rochdale Hornets RLFC 1958 - 1964 Facebook page. It's the 1958 Challenge Cup tie between Hornets V Bradford Northern at Rochdales old ground the Athletic Grounds. What caught my attention was the size of the crowd.
