RIP Hughie, a proper legend and a damn nice bloke as well. I only saw him a few years ago when he was playing a veterans’ game and he was in fine form then. This is one of my favourite pics of mine of the last few years.

Dennis Hartley Doncaster, Castleford & GB prop. From the era when hard men ruled the game he was the enforcer that any half wanted on his team. You didn't take liberties with Dennis about! Off the field a gentleman and brought through many youngsters as Colt's coach. RIP big fella.
