Former Senator Max Cleland from Georgia.

Cleland was a veteran who lost three limbs in Vietnam but lost re-election in 2002 when a Republican draft dodger ran a campaign which repeatedly said he wasn't patriotic enough.

I can think of a Republican president who was also a draft dodger and not just once, but 5 times, who hated being reminded he as a 5 times draft dodger with a complaint nobody had heard of before

Genuinely brilliant composer and lyricist.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Actor David Gulpilil - rather better known in Australia. Known for Walkabout, Crocodile Dundee and Rabbit-proof Fence, among many other appearances.

It's a bit late but I don't think we mentioned Ned Beatty who died in June.

He'll probably be best remembered for squealing like a pig in Deliverance but my first encounter with him was as Otis in Superman where he was the comic relief to Gene Hackman.

And, lest we forget, Thunderpants (2002).

That 1987 FA Cup final still one of my favourites growing up despite not supporting either team.  A really great game with good goals in an era when the FA Cup final as a neutral often disappointed despite the buildup.

May 16th/17th 1987 was a big weekend in my life, I moved out of my parental home for work in Stevenage, on the M6, as I passed over Coventry City Centre, the crowds were amazing, and it was the first ever 2nd division Premiership final at Old Trafford.

Great memories for me and i didn't know his Chelsea playing career was so good.

The Sky Blues team bus (or part of it?) on display in the Coventry Transport Museum was a great reminder of a brilliant led team.
